Our journey to Sweet Baby Axolotls

Discover the heartwarming story behind Sweet Baby Axolotls, where passion meets purpose in bringing these unique aquatic companions into loving homes. We are dedicated to their well-being and committed to sharing our knowledge with you.

Our heartfelt beginning

Our journey began with a dream shared by my son-in-law's brother, Jessie, who envisioned becoming an axolotl breeder. He had eight beautiful axolotls, raised from babies, from multiple breeders. Tragically, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer before he could fully realize his dream. After his passing, I decided to carry on his legacy. I took in four of his axolotls: one male Copper Mel and three females, consisting of two Dirty Leucistic GFP and one Melinoid Dalmatian GFP. These creatures are truly beautiful. Having had an axolotl at 18, though without much knowledge then, I feel incredibly honored to continue Jessie's dream.

Raised with love and personality

The most important thing we want you to know about the axolotls we raise and sell is that they are all raised with immense love. They are very spoiled, I must say, with wonderful personalities. These fascinating creatures will interact with you, especially when they are ready to eat. We ensure they receive the best care from day one, starting on a diet of brine shrimp, bloodworms, blackworms, daphnia, carnivore pellets, and small earthworms, along with daily water changes to maintain their optimal health and happiness.

Finding their forever home

The perfect person to adopt one of our axolotls is someone committed to providing a safe, stable, and knowledgeable home for a unique, long-lived aquatic amphibian. This means being dedicated to long-term care, as axolotls can live 10–15 years and require consistent attention to water quality, temperature (60–68°F), and diet. Ideal adopters are familiar with or willing to learn about amphibian care, including basic aquarium maintenance, nitrogen cycling, and the importance of clean, cool water. They should have a minimum 20-gallon tank with a lid, soft substrate, hiding places, and proper filtration ready. Patience and gentleness are key, as axolotls are delicate; avoid handling unless necessary and be prepared to adapt to their slow, calm nature.

"The care and dedication Sweet Baby Axolotls puts into their creatures is evident. Our axolotl is not just a pet; it's a beloved member of our family."
